About Memorials

The Telč library also played a crucial role in her meeting with the painter. Her mother, Mrs. Šimáčková, worked there as a librarian and became one of the family friends of both husbands. When the painter needed a model, a basis for the children's figures in her paintings, the girl Dagmar, the daughter of the librarian, who is still called Dáda, came in handy. She not only became the model for the child figures, but her portraits have also been preserved and bear witness to the painter's broad soul.
